Announcements

We’re down to the final month of preparations for World War Brick 2025 and activity is picking up big time! T-shirts are being orders, goodie bags are being sourced, kits are being assembled, and parts are being printed. Within the next week we should be making some major updates on the WWB web site, including detailed list of activities and schedules.

As of this writing, we still have 60 Weekend Passes left (out of hard max of 200). The Weekend Pass is your ticket to the maximum World War Brick experience, including a full extra day of WWB activities, presentations, tournaments, and comes with the ability to display your creations. We should have the full schedule of activities posted this week, as well as an email sent out with MOC registration links, plus ordering information for the activities that require the purchase of supplies.

Watch this space for further updates!

We know you’re eager to know the schedule, so here it is! Of course everything is a work in progress right up until the last minute, so everything on the schedule may be subject to change. Doors open for setup (Weekend Pass Holders only) at 8am Friday morning. Best place to load-in is the rollup doors next to the giant building blocks on the north side of the building (on 18th Avenue NE, between Central and Jackson). public starts at 10am Saturday, June 8th.

Build the Lego Mindstorm Ev3 Core Set (45544) at World War Brick 2024! This activity will be held from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Sunday June 9, 2024 at World War Brick in Minneapolis, MN and is limited to 24 spots! Weekend Pass Holders will get the first chance to sign up but the event will be open to the public if space allows!

For this activity small groups of participants will collaborate to build and program a LEGO Mindstorm robot. If time permits, groups can equip and program their robot to follow a line or explore the room using an ultrasonic sensor.  Due to the complexity of the build and programming participants need to have completed second grade.  The content of this activity covers a significant amount of the requirements needed for the retired robotics adventure for Bears in Cub Scouts, the Robotics Merit Badge and two of the three robotics badges for Girl Scouts.

This activity will also help raise funds for The Mission Project charity! Participants can reserve their spot at the World War Brick store for $10 for an individual or $15 for a duo. Sign ups will open Friday June 7th at 10:00 AM for Weekend Pass Holders and Saturday at 10:00 AM for Public Exhibition Tickets. Please note, you do NOT get to keep the set. That said, it’s a a heck of a fun experience!
